Hikmah Center (HC) is a faith-based non-profit organization that supports the overall well-being of Muslims across Central Minnesota. HC serves the comprehensive needs of our community by providing a safe, inclusive, equitable space where all Muslims and members of the community can learn, serve, and connect with each other.
At HC, we believe in creating a strong community based on our Islamic values of “Ilm (beneficial knowledge), Qist (equity), ‘Adl (justice), Sadaqah (voluntary charity), and ‘Ihsan (pure sincerity and grace). Whether it’s making sure our children can experience the joy of ‘Eid, helping families’ weather crises, handing out thousands of groceries and pantry staple bags to those in need, HC is here to support Muslims and all members of our community build a society where we all can thrive.
Our Vision & Goals
HC is part of the social fabric of the Greater Central Minnesota Muslim community. We envision a thriving Muslim community that is spiritually engaged, economically vibrant, and successful across various measures of wellbeing. As such, we ensure that:
- Children and youth are proud of their identity as Muslims.
- Families have access to stable homes, healthy food, and adequate employment.
- People can build and sustain wealth through Islamically compliant means.
- Muslims are learning about their faith and can access high quality Islamic education.
- Muslims in the area have a safe and accessible spiritual space to connect.
